Our Mission

Sayville Cares is a Non-Profit, Non-Partisan 501(c)(3) Organization founded in 2013. We provide individuals, corporations and others with the opportunity to create lasting change in the lives of people and our community, by organizing events with the sole purpose of raising funds for charitable organizations. As Long Islanders, our experience tells us the best way to help people is to bring our communitites together. This is the platform of Sayville Cares and will always be our goal.
Sayville Cares is a public charity and exempt from federal income tax under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501(c)(3). Donors can deduct contributions they make under IRC Section 170.

 

Founding Board Members

Steven Galaris

Steven is owner / operator of Over South Tavern & Grille located in Sayville.

"Sayville Cares provides the opportunity to reinvigorate a long standing passion of giving back to my community. The opportunity to work with friends while supporting military veterans across Long Island makes this a priceless experience."

Zach Kerzner

Zach is a co-owner at Kerzner Contracting, a general construction company based out of Sayville, NY specializing in commercial construction.

"Sayville Cares gives me an opportunity to give back to my community as well as the people that have been key influences in assisting me to be able to get where I am today."

Joe Perillo

Joe is a Career Placement Specialist, who works with low income young adults with regards to job placement and career develpment.

"Being a member of Sayville Cares provides a tremendous opportunity to coordinate fundraising events that will result in working with friends, while providing support to our local communities on Long Island."

Dan Freeman

Dan is a Civil Engineer for the NYS Department of Transportation and has been for over 26 years. Dan develops plan sets and assists in the design of capital engineering projects.

"I have a number of family members and friends that are veterans. Sayville Cares has given me the opportunity to honor them and give back to the servicemen and women that have sacrificed so much for all of us."

Brian McCauley

Brian is the New York Regional Sales Manager for O.C.A. Benefit Services a NJ based Third Party Administrator (TPA). He is Responsible for developing NY sales and provides guidance for new business with respect to each line of service O.C.A. Benefit Services offers including: HRA, FSA, DCAP, Transit and Parking benefits, Section 125 Premium Only Plans, COBRA, Wellness, ERISA Compliance and HSA administration.

"When I was approached with the opportunity to join Sayville Cares and take part in raising funds to support our local communities, I felt it was the right fit to be able to give back as well as continue my charitable efforts"

Kevin Wilson

Kevin is a Sales Manager for CommissionsDept, an insurance technology company where he works with brokers managing their commission systems.

"With family members in the Marines currently deployed overseas, I jumped at the opportunity to work with friends to raise awareness and funds in support of our wounded servicemen and women."

Dan Lamb

Dan is the owner of a small gold and silver investment firm. Specializing in in helping clientele in acquiring gold and silver bullion.

"With a family history filled with servicemen and women, as well as close personal friends serving over seas, the opportunity to be a part of Sayville Cares is the perfect outlet to provide assistance to our wounded American Heroes."
